Michael D. Taylor, 49 of Tulsa, OK passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014. He was born September 9, 1965 in Tulsa, OK to Bill & Kay Taylor. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1983 and continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he received his Degree in Business. Mike loved sports and excelled in baseball from the 1st grade through college and had the privilege to play on several championship teams that won city, state and regional titles. He also had the honor of being on the team that defeated Puerto Rico for the national championship in 1975. Mike enjoyed living in Stillwater where he worked for several years at Eskimo Joe's. Mike became an avid skier while working at the ski resort in Crested Butte, CO. Mike moved back to Tulsa in 1998 and started working as a stage technician for the Tulsa Stagehands. Mike never met a stranger and was loved by all. His smile and great personality led to many life long friends. After a brief illness Mike passed peacefully surrounded by his family and friends and went on to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his parents Bill and Kay Taylor, older brothers, Brent and David, younger sister, Tawana and her husband Sean Cantrell and his longtime special friend Karen Framel and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike loved the Lord, his family, and friends and had a very special place in his heart for all animals, especially his dog Buddy. Mike loved working in the children's ministry at South Lakewood Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Michael's name to South Lakewood Baptist Church. Mike will be forever missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Friday, October 17th at 2 PM, South Lakewood Baptist Church-6808 E. 20th St., Tulsa, OK 74112
