Michele Kathleen Godwin, 61 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on October 12, 1964 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to George Joseph D'Apolito and Katherine (Oldanie) McClanahan.

Michelle started her younger years as a waitress before getting into the car business as a service writer from Expressway Dodge to South point Chevrolet. Michelle enjoyed the work she did and the people she worked with. She enjoyed floating the river with family and coworkers. Going to OU football games with her kids and husband. Tanning & Swimming with her family in the backyard. Going to Danielle & Nicki's football games to watch them cheer.

Michelle lost her daughter Danielle tragically in 2005, and lost her husband to cancer in 2010. Even after all the loss Michele continued to be a loving, supportive, & amazing mother.

In the recent years Michele enjoyed spending her days watching movies, going out to eat with friends and her brother Tony, spending time with her grand-kids, and loving on her cats, Fifi and Lily.

She is proceeded in death by daughter Danielle Dougan, husband Randy Godwin, mother Kay McClanahan, father Joe D'Apolito.

And she leaves behind grand-kids Natalie & Rex Sontag, Makaylah & Bentley Roberson, & Ezekiel Neill. Daughter, Nicki, Stepson, Ronnie & wife Elizabeth, Brothers, Tony D'Apolito & wife Alva. & Joe D'Apolito Jr. Sisters Diane Snider, Donna Hill, & Linda Engebretson. Along with MANY amazing cousins, nieces, & nephews. She also left behind life long friends Susan Van Houton, Karen Gann, Linda Malone, & Linda Dewey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
