Michael Wayne Hicks beloved husband and father passed away on Friday April 27, 2016 at the age of 46. He was born on June 17, 1969 in Tulsa, Ok to the parents of Dave and Lois Hicks.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of almost 20 years, Tonya Hicks and their three beautiful children Bryce, Megan and Braden Hicks, his parents Dave and Lois Hicks, his brother and sister n law David and Christa Hicks, his sister Karen Lawson, and nieces Allison Lawson and Rachel Hicks.

As a little boy, a day never went by without a bowl of Captain Crunch cereal in the morning and watching Speed Racer after school. He was the cute blond headed boy with a mischievous and ornery behavior always getting into something.

Growing up Mike had a passion for sports and excelled in football, basketball and baseball.
He graduated from Memorial High School in 1987 where he received a baseball scholarship at Carl Albert Jr. College. Mike attended Carl Albert for 2 years and then completed his college education at Oklahoma State University graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

He married the love of his life, Tonya Hicks on June 1, 1996. His proudest moments were the birth of their three wonderful children. Bryce Michael Hicks age 18, Megan Renee Hicks age 14, and Braden Lee Hicks age 11.

Mike had a successful career as a software engineer employed by BenefitFocus since 2002.

His sudden death has left a hole in so many of our hearts. Mike, the husband, father, son, brother and friend will be forever missed and always loved.

Service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E 51st, Tulsa, OK. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery
