Michael Dean Lesher, owner of Mike's Fresh Roasted Nuts passed from this world Sunday, December 15, at the age of 63. Mike was born July 21, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK to Norma and Lloyd Lesher. He grew up in Memphis, TN and then moved to Tulsa attending East Central High School then Oklahoma State University. Mike worked several years in banking before starting his own business in 1990. He owned Howard's Canopies that manufactured, rented and sold tents for festival artists. In 2000, Mike took over the Fresh Roasted Nut business for his father and has worked in several local and regional festivals, fairs, craft shows and Woodland Hills Mall.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother, and is survived by his father Lloyd of Keys, OK, brother Larry Lesher of Tahlequah, OK, his wife LaDonna Lesher, son and daughter-in-law Adam and Bertie Lesher and the light of his life granddaughter Elizabeth Rose Lesher.

Mike is known and loved by scores for his kindness, compassion and sincere joy for living. Visitation will be 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Moore?s Owasso. A memorial service will be held at Moore's Owasso Chapel on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mike?s memory to the American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org/ .
