Obituary

Mildred Anne (Moore) Haddox was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 29, 1945. Her parents Robert Glenn Moore and Maize Irene (Bookout) Moore waited ten years to be blessed with their only child. Millie's parents taught her to value her faith and family. Millie dedicated her life to her family and her church. Millie attended Ft. Worth First Methodist Church with her parents which is where she developed her devotion to Christ.

Millie moved from Mannford, Oklahoma to Ft. Worth, Texas as a young girl and graduated from R.L. Paschal High School in June 1964. Millie remembers her teenage years were filled with Friday night dances in her parents living room, learning to drive, and attending Rainbow meetings as she was a member of Ft. Worth Assembly International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Millie's father, was a member of the Ft. Worth Masonic Lodge and her mother was a member of the Eastern Star. Millie love getting dressed up in the long, beautiful dresses her mother made her to attend Rainbow functions. Millie's service in Rainbow earned her the highest honor of membership in the Grand Cross of Color, and she was awarded a grand office, being selected to be the Texas Grand Assembly State Representative to Oklahoma's Grand Assembly.

Millie was an adventurous spirit and tried many new experiences over the years including square dancing, camping, fishing, antiquing, game nights, floral arranging, crocheting, quilting, attending craft fairs and canning vegetables. Millie's favorite places to camp were Estes Park, Colorado and at War Eagle in Rogers, Arkansas.

Millie was a proud single mother of her two daughters, Tracy K. Turner and Gwendolyn L. Clegg. She would always say her daughters were the light of her life. Millie enjoyed supporting her daughters in their activities and she sometimes even enjoyed their "loud" music. Millie was a fun-loving mom and would not think twice about abruptly announcing a spur of the moment camping trip at midnight.

Millie and Jim Haddox were married on November 23, 1991, in Tulsa, Oklahoma in one of Millie's favorite places, the floral shop. Millie and Jim enjoyed thirty-one years of marriage. Together they amassed a large family of blended relatives and friends. Millie always made sure she and Jim had a four legged "baby" by their side. They had many furry babies over their years together and Millie is survived by her beloved yorkie, Roxie.
Millie was caring, loving and enjoyed life. She never let anything get her down. Ever. She was quick to console in times of darkness and quick to celebrate in times of happiness. Millie made many friends along her life's journey and she is loved dearly and will be forever missed.

Mildred Anne (Moore) Haddox is survived by her husband Jimmie A. Haddox, her daughters Gwendolyn L. Clegg and Tracy K. Turner and her husband Dale Turner; her grandchildren Katelyn M. Wilbanks, Michelle A. Turner, Christopher M. Turner and his wife Gracie Turner, Ethan Clegg and Mikayla Clegg; her great-grandchildren Katie A. Wilbanks, Granger M. Turner, and Clayton J. Turner; and Jim's children, Donita Perrine, Darrel Haddox, Danny Haddox and his wife Shanan Haddox and his grandchildren Layne Haddox, Baylie Haddox, Lawrence Perrine, Ashley Evans, Amber Clausen, and Dustin Perrine and his numerous great grandchildren including Daniel and Ryker Haddox as well as many more relatives of her husband's.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, her aunts and uncle, and her grandson Blake Haddox.

Millie's Memorial Service will be held on April 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Abiding Harvest Church, 4407 S. Olive Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK 74011.
