Mildred Grace Newport Dye, living with her daughter Elizabeth Eileen Cunningham, in Porterville, California, passed away Sunday, August 14, 1977. Mildred was born on July 16, 1912, in Iola, KS, to William A. Davis and Maude (Bomar) Davis. She is survived by: 6 sons, Clyde Allen Falls, Tulsa Oklahoma; Neil Eugene Dye, California; Richard Dye, LaHarp, Kansas; James Tracy Dye, Tulsa; Kenneth Gordon Dye (died 1985), Wichita, Kansas; Steven Dee Dye, Seward, Kansas; Daughter Elizabeth Eileen Cunningham, Porterville, California; 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mrs. Dye will lie in state until Wednesday noon at Moores Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 S. Memorial Dr., Tulsa, OK. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 1977, at Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home Chapel, 16 North Buckeye Street, Iola, KS. Interment will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Allen County, Iola, Kansas.
