Obituary

M. Lucille "Lucy" Trompeter, 99, Tulsa resident, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023. She was born Wednesday, August 20, 1924, to Claude and Alta Raburn in Hackett, Arkansas. Lucy was a member of Midtown Church of Christ, formerly 29th and Yale Church of Christ. She had an in-home child daycare for 20 years, and she was an incredible caregiver to children. Lucy enjoyed knitting, making quilts and afghans, cooking, entertaining, celebrating holidays, "Hand and Foot" card game with friends, and traveling to each other's timeshares. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Fred C. Trompeter; brother, Lin Raburn and nephew, Roger Boecher. She is survived by her son, Mike Trompeter, spouse, Carol in Norman, OK; her daughter, Claudia Trompeter of Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren, Brooke Poellinger and Gary Robertson, Billy Trompeter and Patrick Trompeter, spouse Lisa; five great-grandchildren, Ivey and Logan Poellinger, Charley, Davy Wynne and Abe Trompeter; sister-in-law, Rosemary Boecher; niece, Carol Boecher and nephew, Rob Boecher and close family friends, Alison Valentin and family.

Visitation: 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74112, 918-622-1155.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Midtown Church of Christ, formerly 29th and Yale Church of Church, 2901 South Yale Ave. Tulsa, OK 74114, 918-744-0356.

Interment: Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK.
