Molly Jean (Deese) Pendergrass passed from our lives May 14,2018. She was born March 31, 1935 to H.H. and Minnie Deese in Gypsy, Oklahoma. She graduated from Depew High School in 1953. In 1955 she married Wayne Bryant and had two daughters, Kimberly and Kay. They were married for 32 years. She married James Franklin (Frank) Pendergrass December 27, 1991. They were married for 22 years until his passing from melanoma October 18, 2012. He was the love of her life and we were all so lucky to have him.
Molly worked in retail all her life. She was the manager of the Credit and Catalogue Departments at JC Penney's for 36 years. She taught us all the meaning of dedication and a strong work ethic. She loved her job and you couldn't walk with her on the streets of downtown without being stopped by some customer wanting to hug her neck and say hello. She finished her career at the Promenade Mall store.
She was always a sports fan, especially a baseball fan. She and Frank visited all but 1 one of the Professional Parks in the US. She went to so many Rockies fundraisers during their first 3 years that the players knew her and would invite her to cross the signing tape to take pictures with her, or maybe they accepted she was coming across the tape and enjoyed their hug. She loved her grandchildren more than any of the rest us, except maybe Frank.
She is survived by sisters Louise, Virginia (Ginny) and Sue. Brothers Graden, Doug and Paul passed before her. Children, Kimberly, Kay, Kathy, Chris, and Gary. Grandchildren, Jonathan, Marcus, Michael, David, Jennifer, Kimberly, Rachel, Stephen, Anna, Sean, Ashley, Daniel (DJ), David, Dillion, Emily, Elyse, Eliana, and Elisabeth. Great Grandchildren, Kamber, Daxton, Paisley, Colton, Ryker, Reid, Grady, Kaylin, Jason, Luke, Logan, Henry, Ethan, Brody and Hayes. We miss her.
