It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Mona Geraldine Goins, who went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2024. Gerry was born in Tulsa, OK on June 21, 1952.

Gerry grew up in Tulsa, attended Will Rogers High School and graduated from the University of Tulsa where she was a proud member of the Phi Mu sorority. She would serve 23 years with the Tulsa Police Department before retiring. Gerry was very passionate about many things in life, her job, her beloved animals, the Theater Tulsa, many other societies, her family and friends; but in the fall you could find her every Saturday; rain or shine at the TU football games. She loved her Golden Hurricanes! She also loved to watch the Oilers/Drillers baseball team. Gerry loved to travel to many beautiful places in Oklahoma and other states. She climbed to the top of Black Mesa and loved to visit zoos all over the United States.

Gerry is preceded in death by: her parents, Noble and Mona Goins; and her nephew, John Kevin Alderman. She is survived by: her brother, Johnny Alderman and wife Charlene; by her sister, Kathy and husband Bill; her niece, Shirlene Johnson and husband Craig; nephew, Michael Alderman; niece, Lorey Perrier and husband Steve; niece, Shelley Stemple and husband Seth; her life long friend, Gene Meints; and great & great-great nieces and nephews, Jacob, Lindsey, Brooke, Zoey, Sidney, Katey, Megan, Chase, Lincoln, Cayson, Harrison, Finley, Maria, Mason, and Noble.

She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel at 9350 E 51st St,
Tulsa, OK 74145, Thursday, February 8th, from 5-7 pm.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 9th, at 10am at Memorial Park Chapel, 5111 S Memorial Dr, Tulsa, OK 74145 and a Celebration of Life to follow at Battle Creek Golf Club House, 3200 N. Battle Creek Dr. Broken Arrow, 74012.
