Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, also believe in me. (John 14:1)
On June 25, 1959, a baby boy was born to proud parents, Theada (Neal) Butler and Henry Butler. He was given the name Montfrey Butler. Raised in St. Louis, MO, Montfrey accepted Christ at an early age, attending Southern Missionary Baptist Church.
Montfrey's primary and secondary education was given in the St. Louis school system, graduating in 1978.
After graduating high school, Montfrey enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard. He served his country and received an honorable discharge from the military. He became a police officer for the City of St. Louis for 10 years.
Due to the fact that he loved serving and working in the community, he entered the nursing field for 8 years.
In 2001, Montfrey moved and resided in Joplin, MO, where he met and married his wife, Regina R. Davis and moved to Tulsa, OK. While in Tulsa he became a member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research-Tulsa branch.
Montfrey was a kind and compassionate soul. He loved family and music. He played the drum professionally in his early years and continued to hone his art. He also had a love for sports entertainment and action movies.
After fulfilling his mission and journey on earth, Montfrey quietly answered his Heavenly Father's call to come home on July 19, 2019. Preceding his transition were his mother, Theada (Neal) Flewellen; father, Henry Butler; stepfather, Miles Flewellen; stepson, De'Ounte Davis.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife, Regina (Davis) Butler; son, Montfrey Butler, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; stepson, Uriah Davis of Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Beatrice Butler, Asia Wilson and husband Davion all of St. Louis, MO; half-brother, Conrad Flewellen of St. Louis, MO; brother-in-law, M.
