Muriel N. (Collins) Minugh of Tulsa, OK passed from this life on July 9, 2016 at the age of 100 years, 5 months, 18 days in Muskogee, OK. She was born on January 21, 1916 to Sanford A. and Jonnie (Webb) Collins in Russellville (Gum Log Community), Ark. At age 5 she moved by covered wagon to the Elm Grove area near Muskogee where she lived most of her childhood. In 1936 she married Roy A. Minugh in Wagoner, OK. To this union of 68 years they had one daughter, Janet Kay. Muriel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She loved sewing, cooking, camping and fishing with her family. Muriel is survived by one sister, Marjorie Martin of Hendersonville, TN; her daughter, Janet K. Odell and husband Jim; grandchildren, Jimmy Odell and wife Renee, Angela Craig and husband Bryan, Brent Odell and wife Elizabeth; six great-grandchildren, Ashlee Odell, Austin Craig, Morgan Craig, Isabella Odell, Dylan Odell, and Collin Odell. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy; her parents; brothers, Floyd, Doyle, and Bobby Collins. God, her heavenly Father, gave Muriel a long and happy life.
A service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, July 12th at 10:00 AM in the Pavilion in Green Hill Cemetery in Muskogee under the direction of Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 918-622-1155.
