Myron James "Jim" Pfeiffer, Jr., 67, died February 16, 2013, with his family by his side in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was fortunate to beat Colon Cancer in 2011, but was diagnosed with Cancer of the liver in late 2012. He succumbed to complications from the treatments he had been receiving. Jim was born in San Diego, California on May 14, 1945 to Myron and Velma Pfeiffer. His father moved his family to Ohio then to Tulsa where Jim graduated from High School at Edison, he then attended Northeastern at Miami. After NEO, he soon went to work in Sales and Purchasing following in his father's career. He currently works for Insulation Specialists of Tulsa. He married his wife, Patricia Templeton, on December 28th, 1973. They lived together in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. They attended Bethel Baptist Church, in Jenks, Ok. He enjoyed playing golf, working in the yard, and spending time with family. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing in the "Sheppard's Quartet". He joined the Masons in 1990 as a member of East Gate Lodge #543. He was Worshipful Master in 1996. He then went to the Scottish Rite in 1991 was President in 2004. In 2001, he became a Shriner and joined the Akdar's Spinner-Cars and was active on the Directors Staff. He served four terms as Director General. In July of 2002 he was "Shriner of the Month" and in 2011 was named "Shriner of the Year".
Later he joined the newly formed "Mini-Chopper" unit. He enjoyed the parades, selling onions, and working the fireworks stand. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Pfeiffer; 2 sons: Jim and Christy Pfeiffer of Broken Arrow, OK and Clete and Nancy Pfeiffer of Moore, Ok; 3 stepchildren: Buddy and Susie Myers of Wynona, OK, Dixie and Steve Hanner of Allen, TX and Mark and Margret Myers of Pawhuska, OK; and 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
