Nancy Louise Allen, 76, passed away February 17, 2024 in Burleson, TX. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74145. Graveside service will immediately follow.

Nancy was born April 2, 1947 in Tulsa to Haskell and Ruth Allen. Nancy graduated from Central High School in 1965. She then attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and Northeastern Oklahoma State University where she earned degrees in Christian Elementary Education and Elementary Education. Nancy also attended Tulsa Community College for Nursing and became a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1977. Becoming an RN was life-changing for Nancy and it paved the way for her to touch countless lives throughout her career. She was a valued employee at City of Faith Hospital and St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Benchmark Healthcare and Maywood Terrace in Lee's Summit, MO, and Medical Center of Arlington in Texas . Nancy's passion was working with babies and children but she also worked in women's care, medical/surgery, and hospice. Many patients under Nancy's care throughout the years described her as compassionate, sweet, courteous, and always having a smile on her face. She was affectionately known as "Nancy Nurse".

Outside of work Nancy enjoyed going to church, watching the Hallmark Channel, listening to Christmas music year-round, playing games, and spending every moment possible with her children, grandchildren, and other family/friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father and mother and two brothers. She is survived by her three children Jamie Bacon and husband Skip, Jared Douglas and wife Amy, and Jana DeShay and husband Curtis Stout; and grandchildren Lukas Corbitt, Kole Bacon and wife Hannah, Kylee Bacon, Jayden Douglas, Riley DeShay, Kaden Bacon, and Allie Douglas; and three great-grandchildren Anthony Corbitt, Hazel Corbitt, and Meadow Corbitt. She is also survived by many others in her loving family and by close friends.
