Nancy Jean Bateman Slater, "Windy," passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at age 86. She was born September 30, 1929 in Zanesville, Ohio. She loved flying and had her pilot license since 1945. She was an avid golfer, tennis player, artist and loved to have all her children and grandchildren around her. She loved life and could always make everyone laugh. She was ornery to the end. She was preceded in death by Wesley R. Slater D.O., husband; Mary Alyce "Breezy" Camp, sister, Berea, Ohio; and her son Wesley Richard Slater II, Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Survived by her children Kevin William Slater, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kimberly Reed Slater, Coweta, Oklahoma; Cynthia Lynn Slater, Cleveland, Oklahoma; Christopher Slater D.O., Guymon, Oklahoma; Robin McMullen, Gore, Oklahoma; Daughters-in-law Connie, Becky, Kathleen and son-in-law Jim McMullen. She had 12 grandchildren: John and Sky Slater, Holly, and Wes Slater, Richard and Robert Slater, Christopher, Joseph and Daniel Hooper, Sean McMullen, Wendy and Ashley Slater. She had five great-grandchildren: Lauren, William, Ava, Tristen, Birgitte and one great-great-grandchild: Rico.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday March 24, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Instead of cut flowers, the family appreciates live plants, trees, bushes etc so they could be planted in Memory of Mom.
Mom will be greatly missed but never forgotten...we love and miss you!
