Nancy Ann Gunther, loving mother to Julie, Michael, Linda, Lisa, and Karen, and grandmother to Jeremiah, Bethany, and Alexandra, passed from this life into the glory of heaven, Saturday, January 9, at age 87. Words cannot express how much she was loved and will be missed by her family and friends. She will always be remembered with love as a devoted daughter, sister, and mother.
Nancy developed a love of traveling in her early career at Air Canada out of Midway Airport, Chicago. She never lost her love of adventure and exploring new destinations and was a wonderfully good sport, willing to join family and friends in any activities that interested them. She gifted her children with her passion for reading and exploring both the great outdoors and the riches of cultural destinations. Nancy was a wonderful homemaker and listener.
An avid gardener and lover of flowers her entire life, she enjoyed sharing plants with friends and neighbors. Anyone who visited her garden usually left with a plant or two. And she became a great seeker of wildflowers in mid-life while hiking in the national parks with her daughters--we will never see a glacier lily without remembering our darling mom!
