Nancy Elizabeth Jennings' Obituary
Nancy Elizabeth Jennings, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 22, 2015. Nancy was born in Tulsa, OK on August 17, 1940, the daughter of R.E. and Gladys Copman.
She graduated from Edison in 1958 and received her B.A. degree from TU in 1962 where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She received her M.S. from Oklahoma State University and was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, a professional sorority.
She taught school in the Tulsa area prior to becoming the principal at Columbus Elementary School in Tulsa where she worked for 15 years, retiring in 2005. Nancy enjoyed gardening, Bible study, traveling, her cats and her family. She was a member of Tulsa Bible Church and a member of the MAC Flock.
She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Jennings; son, Joseph M. Jennings (Gayla Jo); step-sons, Kenneth W. Jennings, Jr. (Mona), Stanley Eugene Jennings (Darby); step-daughter, Elizabeth Ann Highfill (Tom); 6 step-grandchildren; 2 nephews; sisters, Sara Jane Lezon (Thomas), Mary Catherine Booth.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
