Nathalie Swaim, 95 of Tulsa passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at her home. She was born December 29, 1920 in Wiser Town, OK to Lon and Esta Myers, and enjoyed a wonderful childhood there with her sisters and neighborhood friends. She was especially close to her daddy, Lon, a Wiser Oil Co foreman, who took her along with him to work in the summers. Nathalie was a member of the White Christian Church in Alluwe and at the age of 10, she came forward and accepted Jesus as her personal savior at a revival held at the Methodist Church in Alluwe. She would later become a member of Memorial Christian Church in Tulsa. After graduation from Alluwe H.S. in 1938, and attending Kilgore Junior College for one year, she returned home, eventually meeting and marrying Vincen Swaim of Alluwe in 1941. While living in the Savoy Hotel in Nowata, their son, Joe, was born in 1942. After Vincen returned from service in WWII, the couple made their home on Modoc Street in Nowata and their daughter, Dana,was born in 1947. In 1950 they moved to their Tulsa home of the last 66 years, where son, Kelly, was born in 1957. Nathalie was dedicated to her family and was famous for her homemade noodles and chocolate pie, served on Thanksgivings, Christmases and birthdays. She is survived by her children, Joe, Kelly, Dana Crumpton and her husband Rex; grandchildren, Rex Brian Crumpton and his wife Sherry, Charles Crumpton and his wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Ethan Crumpton, Aubry Crumpton and Allie Crumpton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vincen(2002), brother Floyd Myers, and sisters Lorraine Jay and Mildred Allison. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 16 at the Chelsea, OK cemetery at 2 pm where Nathalie and Vincen's cremains will be interred.
