Nedra Faye Ellsworth was born in Bald Hill, Oklahoma on May 25, 1932 the eighth and youngest child of Delbert and Donnie Ellsworth. She stepped into heaven at 1:30 a.m. on December 23, 2019 at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Catoosa, Oklahoma after a lengthy illness.
Nedra graduated from Mattoon, Illinois High School in 1950. She later became a life long resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma working at Amoco from 1966 until retirement in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Donnie Ellsworth (nee Arrington) and father Delbert Ellsworth, as well as four brothers: Levoy, Charles, Jack and John Ellsworth and two sisters: Margaret Ann Eaton and Opal Marie Bryan. She is survived by her sister, Mona Lea Balius of Springfield, Missouri. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Nedra was one of the founding members of East 21st Street Assembly of God (now Eastland Assembly of God) and was active in the church. She taught missionettes from several years. Early in her life she became known as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She had a gift for selflessly caring for others. Her family always knew they would receive a welcome smile and cheerful greeting when they visited her. She was an encourager. She treasured her church family as well.
She never forgot to send a birthday or anniversary card to her family members. She called and checked in on all of them. She kept everyone up-to-date on the rest of the family.
