Nehemiah Blessed Fischer went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2015. He was 35 years old. Nehemiah was born on April 14, 1980, in Newport Beach, California, to Martin Fischer and Debora Lee Fischer. Raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, he graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1998. In 2002, Nehemiah earned his degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Tulsa. He was self-employed as a general contractor.

Nehemiah was known for his deep Christian faith. At the time of his passing, he was studying for his master's degree in Theology. Nehemiah served as an assistant pastor at Faith Bible Church in Tulsa. He was passionate about studying and teaching the Word of God.

One of eight siblings, Nehemiah will be remembered for his devotion to family. He was known for his kindness, and his desire and conviction to help those in need. One of his greatest joys was marrying his beloved Laura on July 11, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by dear family and friends.

Nehemiah was predeceased by his mother Debora, his paternal grandparents, Martin and Magdalena Fischer, and his maternal grandmother, LeRea Baker. He is survived by his wife, Laura; his father, Martin; his stepmother, Irene; his maternal grandfather, Gerry McPeek (Francis); his brothers, Brandon, Brock, and Mordecai; his sisters Brandee Vazquez (Ruben), Breezi, Miracle, and Shekinah; his nieces Taylor and Chandlar; his nephew, Trevor, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Nehemiah's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Freeman Harris Funeral Home, 3333 E. 41st, Tulsa, OK.
