Nelmarie Anderson Henthorne, wife of the deceased Norris G. Henthorne Jr., the former Associate Editor of the Tulsa Daily World, died November 18, 2021. She was born in 1917. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma where she met her future husband who was also an O.U. student.

She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Tulsa, a member of Delta Gamma sorority, and a member of the Osage Indian Nation.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki H. Kirkland (Richard) of Tulsa; son, Norris G. Henthorne III (Karen) of Hilo, Hawaii; and brother, S. Edward Anderson of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Robert W. Gassiott and James Norris Kirkland of Tulsa; Alani Walsh (Steve) of Honolulu, Hi and Wili Boomer Henthorne (Jessica) of San Franciso, Ca; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, S. T. and Lottie Sims Anderson of Sand Springs, and sister, Helen A. Childers (Ralph), also of Sand Springs.
