Juanita "Nita" Faye McCollum, 84, of Owasso, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on September 7th, 2019. She was born on December 15th, 1934 in Sand Springs to parents George Archie Jones and Ruby Jones, and lived most of her life in the Tulsa area.

Nita was an extremely loving and affectionate mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. In her spare time, Nita loved to cook and spend time with her family. She had a love for festively celebrating Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. Nita had a fondness for Burmese cats and loved many in her lifetime. She was known for her hospitality and warmth and would gladly fix you your favorite meal upon your arrival to her home. Nita was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and Jesus Christ.

Nita was a graduate of Pawnee High School and worked at T.D. Williamson, Inc. for 25 years until her retirement. Nita married her late husband Royk S. McCollum on December 27th, 1953, and together they had two children, whom Nita is survived by: Son Scott McCollum and his wife Isabel McCollum, and daughter Marilyn Edmunds and her husband Rich Edmunds, all of Owasso. She is also survived by her two brothers and their wives, Richard and Carolyn Jones of Tulsa, and Leroy and Donna Jones of Tulsa. Additionally, she is survived by 4 grandchildren: Eric Osborn of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Ashley Dyer of Sapulpa, and Sean & Sophia McCollum of Owasso; as well as many beloved friends and extended family members. Nita was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Ann Jones.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Tuesday, September 10th, from 6pm to 8pm at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn, 9350 E 51st St, Tulsa, OK, with general visitation taking place between 12pm and 8pm. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 11th, at 10:30am at Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
