Nora Mae Bruere, of Broken Arrow, OK passed from this life to go home to be
with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Saint Francis hospital in
Tulsa, OK. She was born Feb. 10, 1934 in Kansas, OK to her parents Lee Allen
Jones and Sylvia Jones.

Nora had 10 siblings 7 brothers, Billy Jones, Harold Jones, Claude Jones, Marvin
Jones, Edgar Jones, Johnny Jones and May Jones. She had 3sisters, Margie Scott,
Velma Wolfford and Lela Fletcher. As a child she enjoyed sports especially
basketball, dancing and swimming in the creek.

Nora was married twice the first was to LD Ford where she was blessed with a
beautiful daughter Jennifer Kathleen on June 27, 1951. The marriage ended in
divorce. In 1966 while working at Sipes Food she caught the eye of Louis Bruere
who would make it a point to always use her line when checking out with his
groceries. He always forgot a few things on his list so he would have a reason to
return to the store. They married in 1967 in Tulsa, OK. They lived in Tulsa for
many years until settling in Broken Arrow, OK. to be closer to her daughter and
grandchildren. She enjoyed Wednesday night dinners with Louis and her daughter
Jennifer, and she loved a good sale at many department stores. Nora attended
Eastwood Baptist Church where husband Louis taught Sunday school for many
years. Her Eastwood family was very important to both her and Louis.

Nora worked many years as a receptionist at Admiral bank which turned into
F&M bank then Prosperity bank. After retiring she loved spending time with all her
grand and great grandchildren. She also loved to help those in need. No matter what
she was doing, going to work or just going to the store she always wanted to look her
best. She had a flare for fashion, loved jewelry and accessories, and had an outfit for
every occasion. Nora also had a love for fine automobiles.

Nora is survived by her husband Louis Bruere of Broken Arrow, OK; her
brother Ray Jones and his wife Lavern of Kansas, OK; sister Margie Scott of Tulsa,
OK, sister Velma Wolfford of Kansas, OK; Two grandchildren, David Emerson and
Gina Emerson Barnett and husband Mark Barnett; Also, Grandson in Law Scott Wise (husband of Sandra). Great grandchildren Jerrica Emerson, Whitney and
husband Donald Baccus, Brianna and husband Robert Brogdon, Shawn Papish,
Kendall Wise, Devan Emerson and fiance Chrystal Lofton, Dylan and wife Shai
Emerson, and Branden and wife Natasha Woods. Great great grandchildren Dayton
Baccus, Bryston and Dixie Emerson, Zaiden, Keaton, and Miah Emerson, and
Xavier Chelf and Sawyer Brogdon, Darrel Harrison, Makenzy and Ryder Holly,
Abel and Kaylee Woods.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Sylvia
Jones, daughter Jennifer Emerson, granddaughter Sandra Wise, great grandson
Jared Emerson, 6 brothers Billy Jones, Harold Jones, Claude Jones, Marvin Jones,
Edgar Jones, Johnny Jones, and 1 sister Lela Fletcher

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Eastwood Baptist, Church, Tulsa, OK. Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel
