Norma Jane Boone, 89, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 18, 1936, to Edward and Jane Lindsey.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Dennis Clyde Boone; and her brother, Edward Lindsey.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Denise and her husband Craig Leonard; Dennis and his wife Tonya Boone; Doug and his wife Marilyn Boone; Greg and his wife Tracy Boone; Teresa Boone; and Phil and his wife Shannon Boone. She was also a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous joy.

After raising her six children, Norma fulfilled a lifelong dream by earning her Education degree from the University of Tulsa. She went on to teach in the Tulsa Public Schools until her retirement in 1994, touching the lives of countless students along the way.

Norma had a creative spirit and found joy in both writing and painting. She was a published author, an accomplished artist, and someone who always appreciated the beauty in the world around her.

Above all, Norma was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a deeply cherished grandmother. Her kindness, strength, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the family she loved so dearly.

Viewing is scheduled for 12noon - 8p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home. The memorial service is 11a.m., Monday, June 29th at Hope Fellowship Church, 4803 S. Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK 74105.
