Norma Jean Gonzales began her journey to Heaven on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the age of 94 years. She was born October 24, 1928, to Jesse and Bertha (Rhodes) Hawkins in Hardin, Missouri. Norma was the youngest of five children. She married Santos Gonzales May of 1951 in Kansas City, MO. In 1952 they relocated to Tulsa where their daughter, Carolyn, was born. Norma worked for Honeywell Industries for 35 years and retired as an office manager in 1989. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, two nephews, husband Santos Gonzales in 1980 and companion Wayne Hanson in 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Jo Carmical, husband Bob, grandson Robby Carmical, wife Makayla, great grandchildren, Wyatt, Elam and Elsie all of Grove, OK, step granddaughter, Sherrie Scoggins of Claremore, OK, step- grandson, Bobby Lee Scoggins, wife Jackie of Chouteau, OK, , step-great grandson, Colton, step- granddaughter, Carrie Keller, husband Adam of Coffeyville, KS, step- great grandsons, Cade, Conner and Ronnie, step- great granddaughter, Emyri of Grove, OK, several nephews and nieces, including special niece Judy Orava all of Missouri.
