Obituary

Norma Lee England Miller
May 13, 1935 - April 19, 2015

God called home a most precious angel to be with him. Norma Lee England Miller passed away from this earth April 19, 2015, after her prolonged struggles with cancer. She is now in the loving arms of God and her family members who have gone before her. Every family usually has one person that stands out from the rest, that one special person who makes sure that everything is perfect, that one person who set the bar high with positive thinking, that one person who's strong faith touched all she met and that one person was Norma. We have been truly blessed for having had her in our life. She is already missed, but we all rejoice knowing that she is free and will never be forgotten.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Vonie Clark England and James T. England, her brothers Buster and wife Mildred, James and wife Bertha, Lloyd and Charles.
Norma is survived by her two sisters-in-law Jackie England and Ingrid England, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Norma was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, May 13, 1935, and was raised in Tulsa. She grew up with four older brothers whom she loved dearly. She attended Spring Dale Baptist Church where she eventually served her Lord by playing the organ.
She spent most of her adult working life in Oklahoma City, but returned to Tulsa to be near and to care for her Mom, Vonie. She was a tireless worker for nearly 13 years at Arthur Gallagher where she retired in 2011.
After retirement, her yard and garden expressed her love for beautiful flowers and a comfortable home and back yard, just as she had learned from her Mom living on East Oklahoma street. She could always be seen with her favorite friend and companion, Maisey, her white Scotty dog either right at her side or pulling her down the street. She also enjoyed her fun and relaxing times at Jenks Senior Citizens Center.
To support her faith, Norma was a member of First Methodist Church and spread her strong ideas by setting a positive example to her family and friends. Her tested strength endured through her steadfast faith in God. Our family will remember her devotion and unconditional love, friends will remember her faithful companionship and we may all remember the Christian values she exemplified. She will be missed.
The Family wishes to express thanks to the family members who were her Caregivers and to the Tulsa Hospice team who all provided expert care and love.
