Norman Wayne Rowe, 85, of Tulsa, OK, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born on Thursday, September 9, 1937, in Gilroy, CA, to Theryon Rowe and Annie (Kaleta) Rowe. Wayne was proud to have served as an Airman Second Class in the United States Air Force in the 365th Air Police Squadron. Wayne and the love of his life, Janetta Jean (Jayne) Rowe, were married on Friday, July 9, 1965, and were happily married for 52 years, when God called her home on Friday, June 8, 2018. From 1972-1999, Wayne pastored various churches in MA, KS, TX and OK. He also worked as a mail clerk, and worked at Walmart in hardware and as a greeter. Wayne was a member of Graceway Baptist, formerly, Southeast Baptist Church. He was a handyman and enjoyed painting and fishing.
Wayne is survived by his son Stanley Rowe and wife, Tresa of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter Renee Parah and husband, Jeff of Sheldon, VT and daughter Jennifer Newcome and husband, Rob of Glenville, NY; brother, Theryon "Gene" Rowe and wife, Nila of Wichita, KS; sister, Arlene Jayne and husband, Gary of Branson, MO; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; his church family; and a lifetime of friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janetta Jean Rowe; and sister, Bernice Crump.
Wayne will be greatly missed in the days ahead because we were privileged to have him in our lives, and we who are saved and know the Lord, have joy in our hearts, resting in the assurance we will be with him again, in Heaven, one day soon. What a day, glorious day that will be!
