Nova Lee Hagar, 91, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020. She was born December 30, 1928 in Tulsa, OK to Finas Tate and Emma F. Robison.
Nova Lee, who graduated from Daniel Webster High School, was a lifelong resident of Tulsa until the death of her husband in 1992. Shortly thereafter, she moved in with her son, Ron, in Irving where she lived and helped raise Ron's two daughters.
Nova Lee worked at Oklahoma Gas & Electric in Tulsa in her youth. She raised her three children while her husband worked at Service Pipeline Co. and attended night classes at the University of Tulsa to obtain his Accounting degree.
Nova Lee and Calvin loved to travel, camp, and fish with friends and family. She and Calvin eventually purchased a lake house at Grand Lake O' the Cherokees and the family spent many days relaxing at the lake. Every Friday evening for decades, they played cards with relatives. They also were a couple in a Tulsa bowling league for several years.
Nova Lee taught three-year-olds in Sunday Bible class and Vacation Bible School at East Side Church of Christ in Tulsa.
She is survived by her children, Ron Hagar of Irving, TX, Gail (Hagar) West and husband Paul of Broken Arrow, OK, Rick Hagar of The Woodlands, TX; her grandchildren, Jordan (Hagar) Velazquez and husband Fernando of Dallas, TX, Mackenzie Hagar of Austin, TX, Kelli West of Fort Gibson, OK, Stephanie (West) Bryan and husband Josh of Tulsa, OK, Catherine (Hagar) Ito and husband Yu of Seattle, WA, Elizabeth Hagar of Portland, OR; great-grandchildren, Pascal, Wyatt, Jakob, Nathan and Clay.
Nova Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin Hagar, Jr., her daughter Sherry Lee Hagar; her siblings, Lillie Robison, Clay Robison, Bill Robison, Nobel Robison and Truman Robison.
