Olga Kathryn Ruth (Luebke) Krause, 99, a long-time resident of Tulsa, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born at the home parsonage on April 4, 1925, in Clayton, South Dakota, to Henry and Hilda Luebke. She was the youngest of 13 children.
Olga attended Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, before embarking on a teaching career. She taught in Mankato and Lakefield, Minnesota, and later in Corpus Christi, Texas. On August 4, 1950, she married Arthur A. Krause at Trinity Lutheran Church in South Dakota, beginning 63 cherished years together.
Olga dedicated over 50 years as an office manager and co-owner of Krause Plastics and worked as a floral designer at Tulsa Greenhouse for over 20 years. She was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church and stayed active throughout her life by participating in exercise and yoga classes at LIFE Senior Services Center. Olga's passions included flower arranging, gardening, potting plants, reading, cooking, and homemaking. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, love, and strong Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Arthur; her son, Jason B. Krause; and her twelve older siblings: Helene, Heinrich, Martin, Sophia, Martha, Eduard, Daniel, Tabea, Lydia, Frieda, Oscar, and Walter.
Olga is survived by her daughter, Amy Grandpre, and her husband, Timothy, of Laurel, Montana; her son, Karl Krause, and his wife, Leslie, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandson, Kole Krause, and his wife, Julie, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her granddaughter, Ayla Grandpre, of Leesburg, Virginia; and her cherished 3-month-old great-grandson, Jameson Krause.
