Ollie Mae Bowers, 91, was born in Sparta, MO on May 14, 1887 to Jim Head and Emma Bell Parr Head. She lived in Tulsa, OK and died at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK on December 3, 1978 from renal failure. Her late husband, Dr. Joseph Samuel Bowers, practiced medicine in the Tulsa area from 1919 until his retirement in 1951. He died in 1961. Mrs. Bowers was a vice grand of the Rebekah Lodge and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a Methodist and had resided in the Tulsa area since 1919. She is survived by 3 daughters, Pauline Hall and spouse, C. H. of Broken Arrow, OK, Beatrice Burk and spouse, Jack of Checotah, OK, and Zella Hoose and spouse, Kenneth of Tulsa, OK; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 1978 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK
