Our beloved husband, father and grandfather Omar Eugene Thompson passed away on Sunday, June 18th. Gene was able to be cared for at home the last six months due to the wonderful care and support of St. Francis Hospice Team. He also had loving care the last two days of his life at Clarehouse.
Gene was very devoted to his family, particularly his grandchildren who remained with him to the last hours of life.
Gene spent many yeas as a science and physics teacher at Washington High School and the University of Tulsa. He held a degree in math from the University of Tulsa and a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Oklahoma.
Gene is survived by his wife of 62 years Constance Thompson and his children Kevin, Suzanne (Ed), Brian (Diane), eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His son Scott Thompson preceded him in death. He is also survived by his brother Bob Thompson (Brenda). He will be forever missed.
