Ora Lee Pollard was born to Lena and Alfred Phillips on November 22, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She passed away on September 8, 2020 after a little over a year battle with lung cancer. Ora Lee lived in Oklahoma for 78 years before moving to Buckley, Washington in August of 2019 to live near her daughter to assist in her care.
She had one brother, Alfred Phillips of Tulsa, OK; 3 half-sisters, who are deceased: Mary Smith of Tulsa, OK, Levada Phillips of Tulsa, OK and Juanita Warden of Oregon.
Ora Lee was married to Cecil Pollard for 29 years until his death on June 30, 1987. She was married two more times and widowed from Lee Hammons and Claude Coselman. She was engaged to Ken Sitts when he passed away before they were married.
Ora Lee and Cecil had 4 daughters; one is deceased, Teresa Richmond; and is survived by daughters, Patricia Davis of Owasso, OK, Priscilla Swick and husband Jim of Buckley, WA and Cecilia Pollard of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Isaac White of Cleveland, OK, Rosalie Jacobo of Sand Springs, OK, Christina Boyd and husband Jimmy of Claremore, OK, Joseph Coop of Sand Springs, OK, Heather Davis of Arcata, CA with Dylan Angleton, Jennifer Coop of Buckley, WA, Casey Roberts of Claremore, OK married to Cole Boyd, and Emily Coop of Buckley, WA. 8 great-grandchildren, one of whom passed at 11 months, Zachary Mitchell, Savannah White, 17 years old, Jacob Mitchell 10 years old, Maleeya Jacobo, 17 years old, Joseph Jacobo, 14 years old, Kristian Jacobo, 10 years old, Calvin Angleton, 6 years old, and Finnegan Angleton, 4 years old.
Ora Lee left school in the 8th grade, but later received her GED. She never really retired, semi-retired at times, but up until March of 2019 was working nearly full time with Jenks Public Schools as a substitute teacher. Through the years she was a waitress, grocery checker, office worker, and substitute teacher. But most of all she was a wife and mother!!
Ora Lee had many hobbies. She enjoyed cake decorating, she dabbled in candy making, crocheting, reading, gardening over the years, and her most beloved hobby was square dancing. Ora Lee also loved to cook for her family, especially at the holidays.
She took several vacations through the years. One of her favorites was with her sister and brother-in-law, when they and Cecil went to New Mexico. The four would also take their trail bikes out into the woods to pick up pecans. She went to Florida as a family vacation, several trips to Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, visited the Oregon coast a couple of times to take in the beauty there, a road trip from Oklahoma to Washington, seeing several states, and visited Graceland in Memphis, TN soon after Elvis Presley passed away, Yellowstone National Park and Padre Island. Two places on her bucket list she did not get to visit was Hawaii and Mt. Rushmore. With senior groups, she took vacations to Chicago, Illinois, a Gulf of Mexico cruise, and New York City.

Funeral service will be Friday, September 18th at 10am, also at Moore's Rosewood Chapel. Her final resting place will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she will be laid to rest beside her first husband, Cecil Pollard.
