Obituary

Orville Martin Garrison, 79, passed away on January 6, 2024 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born on August 23, 1944 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Orville Martin Garrison and Edna Lorene Fetters.

Orville was a 1962 graduate from SS Peter and Paul High School. Following graduation, he served in the US Army and US Navy. Orville worked in Boonville many years for the Missouri Department of Corrections. While in Boonville, he served as a Scout leader with Boy Scouts. After he and his family moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1989, Orville worked in security and was a mailroom clerk at American Bank and Trust in Tulsa until his retirement in 2006.

Orville enjoyed fishing, wood working, wood burning, and was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan. Orville loved the beach and one of his favorite retirement trips was to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Orville was predeceased by his parents, sister Sue Jeffress, brother in-laws Dale Jeffress and Edward L. King, and nephew Eric King. He is survived by his loving wife Ellen Garrison, of the home; daughter Christine Josefchuk, son Michael D. Garrison, son in-law Richard V. Josefchuk, grandsons Michael D. Garrison II, Andrew Garrison, Benjamin Garrison, Richard G. Josefchuk, Ethan Josefchuk, great-grandson Finn Garrison, sisters Shirley King, Pam Fouts, brother in-law Wendell Fouts, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM. (visitation from 10:00 to 11:00) on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Howard Funeral Home, 1397 W Ashley Rd, Boonville, MO 65233. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
