Orvilyn Murphy was born into this life in Springfield, IL on May 31st, 1935 to parents Orville and Helen McClanahan. Orvilyn passed from this life on July 31st, 2022 in Tulsa, OK.

Orvilyn had worked for the Shell Oil Company in Tulsa, OK, and later became the Owner and Vice President of the Tulsa Oil Capital North American Van Line. Orvilyn and her late husband, Patrick Murphy, won many awards for the commitment of excellence for their business.

Orvilyn was passionate about breaking generational barriers in the business world for women, and worked hard to expand their roles in today's business environment. Her hobbies included the Mercedes' Club, sewing, crochet, painting, tapping, gardening, cooking, singing (while at home), and riding motorcycles. She was an avid traveler who enjoyed boating and water skiing. Some of her favorite travel destinations included Germany, Italy, France, and her all-time favorite place to travel was Ireland. Orvilyn loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
