Obituary

Lee Campbell, 80, of Tulsa, OK, was born on July 24, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT to Betty
Mae Sharp and Mike Campbell Jr. who have both preceded him in death along with his
brother, Ronnie Campbell. On July 6, 2022, Lee left this earth to be with his loved ones
who have passed before him.
Lee graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy and completed some college at
Colorado State University. Lee spent his career in construction as the head of Lee
Campbell Construction Company. When he wasn't working, he loved to entertain family
and friends at his Grand Lake home, especially on the 4th of July and Christmas. He
enjoyed tending to his sprawling yard, feeding the ducks and fish from his lakefront
deck, taking people out for rides on his boat, and spoiling his dogs. He was OU
Football's biggest fan, so much so that an entire room in his home was dedicated to the
team, from the bed covers and ceiling fan blades to the shower curtain and soap
dispensers. Nothing stopped him from catching a game. Lee never met a stranger and
could talk to anyone about anything as long as they'd let him. That's one of the things
that his family will miss about him most, his ability to connect with anyone.
Lee is survived by his children Lori, Julie, Mark and Derek, granddaughter Sydney,
sisters Shawna, Kay, Peggy and Sallie, and many nieces and nephews. Lee's family
and friends will celebrate his life with a graveside service on
Friday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
