In Memory of

Palm Reese Calhoun, Jr., A Humble and Giving Soul
February 10, 1930 - August 26, 2023

He was born to the late parents of Palm Calhoun, Sr., and Minnie Reese Calhoun.
He was employed with the Los Angeles County Sheriff Dept. for 29 years as a Correctional officer and a reserve deputy. (11/30/1964-03/30/1993)
Palm was blessed to become a writer and poet: "It's what you do with what you know that makes you who you are."

He was a Mason at the level of 33rd degree.

Palm thoroughly enjoyed teaching Little League football for forty-three years in Baldwin Hills, California.

His parents, the Reeses, and the Calhouns' aunts & uncles helped raise Palm.

Cherished memories will remain in the heart of his niece, Nancy Albert Brembry, in Dallas, Texas. His parents; late sister: Maurine Calhoun Albert, niece Mary Albert, and nephew Willie T. Albert, along with his many aunts & uncles who are patiently awaiting the arrival of their loved one.

Palm leaves behind his beautiful wife, of 15 years, Virginia A. Calhoun; his niece, Nancy Albert Brembry, and family, of Texas and his extended family: Norchell McKinney (Timothy), Michael Renty (Shannon), grandchildren: Javon Walker, Jasmine Walker, Michael Renty II, Jade Johnson, Matthew Renty, Marissa Renty, Janae Johnson, Justin Benson. Great-grandchildren: Skyy Bush, Quintin Bush, & Valerie Renty.

The Legacy He Leaves is "Gentleness."
