Marjorie Patricia (Pat) Carrow was born July 5th, 1933 in West Plains, Missouri to Louis Alexander York and wife, Nancy Jane (Myers) York. She married Robert Leeman Carrow on January 5th, 1952 in Morley, Missouri. Pat passed from this life on Monday, September 21st, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Nancy; husband, Robert L. Carrow; son, Robert (Robbie) L. Carrow II; brothers John Riley York, Robert Louis York, Donald Edward York; and sisters Helen Pollard, Shirley Spivey, Judy Diane Presley, and Carol Sue York. Pat was also preceded in death by one grandson, Robert E. Cooke.
Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and friend, and was considered the best mother-in-law by all of her son-in-laws, whom she loved as much as her daughters. She loved winning rummy games (especially against her kids), going to yard sales, cooking, reading, painting, journalling, praying, and studying her Bible. She was an encourager, and loved to send cards and letters to friends and family. She never wanted to miss a birthday, anniversary, or any special day, and tried to make everyone feel special. Pat served as pastor's wife at Truth Tabernacle in Joplin, Missouri, with her husband, Rev. Robert (Bob) Carrow for 20 years. After her husband's death in 2004, she moved to live with her daughter, Laurie, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended church at Life Tabernacle, Tulsa, Oklahoma, until her death.
Pat is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Connie and Harold Sheppard, Pam and Collin Cooke, Becky and Jeff Shipp, and Laurie and Jeff Phillips; one brother, Jack York and wife Winnie; one sister-in-law, Patty York, and one brother-in-law, Jimmy Spivey; seven grandsons, who will serve as pallbearers: Dan Cooke, Nic Sheppard, Nevin Sheppard, Ben Shipp, Gabe Shipp, Sam Shipp, and Jeffrey Phillips. She is survived by six granddaughters, Tricia Fox, Mandy O'Quain, Grace Richter, Hannah Denny, Annie Shipp, and Sarah Collette; twelve great-grandchildren, and one on the way. Pat is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Pat was dearly loved by all her family, her church family, and friends. Her greatest desire was for all her family and friends to love and serve the Lord, and she prayed for them daily. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23rd, from 6PM - 8PM at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 24th at 2PM at Life Tabernacle in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held at the church from 1PM - 2PM.
Rev. Harold Sheppard and Rev. Keith Townsley will be officiating.
Pat's burial will be at Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri on Friday, September 25th at 2:30 PM. A brief graveside service will be held for anyone wishing to attend.
