Patsy "Pat" Ruth Woodard Mills
Pat Mills, 83, passed away April 3 2015. The daughter of Claude A. and Frances R. Woodard, Pat was born in Houston, TX. She was a 1950 graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and attended Oklahoma State University. She was married for more than 50 years to Vernon "Corky" S. Mills, Jr., who predeceased her in 2002. Together, Corky and Pat owned and operated Woodard Waterproofing Co., Inc., which operated for more than 50 years to provide commercial building exterior restoration services. Pat was a loving mother of two children, Valerie Mills Kott (wife of Michael Kott) of Tulsa and Scott Mills (husband of Kim Mills) of Herndon, VA. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sharing stories, and playing cards. Pat was a 50-year member and Past Worthy Matron of Magic City Chapter No. 462, Order of the Eastern Star. She and Corky were active square dancers and members of both Speck-taculars and Buckaroos clubs in Tulsa. They also served as President of the North East Oklahoma Square Dance Association. Pat also enjoyed the company of friends in a local Bunco group for over 30 years. Pat was a member of the 29th and Yale Church of Christ. Pat is also survived by five grandchildren: Lauren Kott Miller (wife of Christopher Miller), Robert Kott, Timothy Kott, Isaac Mills, and Casey Mills, and six great grandchildren, Josephine, Paul, Maximilian, Gianna, Bernadette, and George Miller. A visitation will be held at Moore's Eastlawn Funeral Home on Thursday, April 9 from 6 to 8PM. A celebration of Pat's life will be held on Friday, April 10 at 2PM at the Church of Christ, 2901 S. Yale, with a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery, followed by a fellowship reception in the Church of Christ fellowship hall.
