Boyett, Patricia A. "Patti" (Rogers) of Tulsa passed away October 8, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living in Broken Arrow, OK.
Patti was a longtime resident of Tulsa. After completing high school in Grinnell, IA, she secured a job in the secretarial pool at The Pentagon. There, Patti eventually crossed paths with a young Donald Duane Boyett, who was on assignment as part of the Naval ROTC. They soon married, honeymooned off the coast of Georgia, and relocated to Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, HI, where Duane had been stationed. It was there they began their family and suffered their first loss. One-day-old baby boy Jeff is interred at Schofield Barracks Post Cemetery, Hawaii.
In the early '60s, they returned to Oklahoma. Tulsa is where they made their home and raised their three boys. Patti worked as Director of Sales & Catering at the Holiday Inn downtown and also spent time with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
After working nearly two decades for the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, Patti retired as a National Sales Manager for the Convention Visitors Bureau in their Regional Tourism Department. She is remembered by the Chamber as a very kind and friendly person. Patti and Duane loved to travel and she continued in this spirit of adventure after his passing in 1996. She was hardly ever seen without an immaculate hairdo, even in her later years. The fact that her senior living facility kept a salon was such a beloved treat for Patti.
Patti is preceded in death by her husband, Duane, son, Jeffrey Dean and granddaughter, Rachel Marie. Survivors included three sons, Mark (Nancy), Scott, both of Tulsa and Neil of San Francisco; two grandchildren, Maggie of Oklahoma City and Drew of Las Vegas.
Visitation/Viewing will take place Sunday, October 13, 2024, 5:00-7:00 PM, Moore Southlawn, Tulsa, OK. Graveside Service will take place Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM, Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. There she will be interred with her husband.
