Patricia Gail Cook, beloved wife of James R. Cook "Jim," mother to Jeffery Cook (Angie) and Jill Hull (Joe), grandmother to Aaron Salisbury (Jolisa), and great-grandmother to Kayden Salisbury. Born July 30, 1943, in Pryor, OK, and died January 3, 2025, after a long illness.
Jim and Gail shared a deep love for each other for over 60 years. They met on her 21st birthday and married shortly after, on August 28, 1964. They shared a life full of laughter and a love for travel. They were able to travel with their kids to Europe, and visited all 50 states with grandson, Aaron, before his 18th birthday.
Gail loved to craft ceramics and porcelain and especially loved decorating for Christmas and hosting parties. She loved gardening with a passion, and it showed in her beautiful flower gardens.
Although she faced many challenges after contracting Polio at 2, she never let it define her and certainly never stopped her from living life. Her challenges were a mere inconvenience and nothing to give attention to. She leaves a legacy of love that her family and friends will remember her for.
Gail was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alice Cavalier; parents, Lucille C. Franklin and Stanley Brown; brother, Sonny Brown; and nephew, Paul Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Catholic Charities.
