Patty Ann (Anderson) McLane was born Patricia Ann Anderson on November 4, 1928 in Detroit, MI. First born of Fern and W. M. "Andy" Anderson, Patty was born in Detroit because Andy had relocated from Tulsa during the Depression in search of work. Fortunate circumstances delivered the family back to Tulsa where Patty attended Tulsa public schools, graduating from Rogers High School in 1946.
While attending the University of Tulsa she met Forrest McLane whom she married on May 31, 1948. They had two children, Pamela and Michael. After a series of work related moves throughout Oklahoma and Texas, they returned permanently to Tulsa in 1963. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and mother, Patty also actively worked in the formative years of the family business, Flow Controls, Inc.
In later years she was an active volunteer at Doctor's Hospital and provided rocking therapy to drug addicted newborns through the Margaret Hudson Program. However, Patty's most prominent public roll had to have been as a veteran member of the Happy Hoofers dance company. She and her sister Marjorie Lee performed with the group well into their eighties, making many appearances in the Red Glove Review and other local events.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband Forrest and daughter Pamela (Hall). She is survived by her sister Marjorie Lee and brother-in-law Donald "Jack" Lee, son Michael and wife Connie, granddaughter Carrie Dresslaer (husband Matt and great granddaughter Ava), grandson Matthew Blehm (wife Kelly, great grandchildren Eva and Drew), grandson Jeffery Burns (wife Dee), granddaughter Jennifer Phillips (great grandchildren Elizabeth and Sam) and grandson Jason Burns (wife Emily and great granddaughters Annie, Libby and Chloe). Her smile, humor and cheery disposition will be sorely missed. The world unfortunately will have to persevere with one less ray of sunshine.
