Patricia "Pat" (Patton) Bryant, 90, was born October 3, 1934 in Gould, Arkansas to Carldon Clifton Patton and Ruth Mae Clements. Patricia died Wednesday June 4, 2025, at her residence in Charlotte, NC. Pat graduated from North Little Rock High School and earned her bachelor's degree for Washington University, St. Louis, MO in 1953. She married Richard Miles Bryant on August 20, 1955 and they were married until his passing in September, 2012. She began her teaching career as a 6th grade teacher at Dawson Elementary in Austin, TX. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority at Washington University. She was active in several community organizations including AAUW (American Association of University Women).
Pat was a gifted Sunday School Teacher and education was very important to her. She loved John Knox Church and poured her time and talents into the congregation, serving as an Elder, Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Many young people are beneficiaries of her desire to teach. Pat was a talented pianist, she played for recitals and worship services.
She married Richard Miles Bryant, August 20, 1955. He preceded her in death September of 2012.
Pat is survived by her sons, Richard Bryant, Jr. (Rick) and wife, Becky of Bartlesville, OK, and William Bryant and wife, Melanie of Georgetown, TX; daughter, Melissa Bryant White and husband, Kevin of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Nicole Bryant Parker and husband, Chance of Stillwater, OK, Miles Bryant and wife, Tashana of Austin, TX, Nathan Bryant of Austin, TX, Jackson White and spouse, Chel of Santa Fe. NM, Nicholas White and Alec White, both of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchild, Will Parker of Stillwater, OK.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 14, 2025 at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 2929 East 31st Street,Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to The Alzheimer's Association or the American Arthritis Foundation.
