She was born on July 31st, 1932 in Boulanger, Oklahoma to Ernest Hoopingarner and Elizabeth Mann Hoopingarner. Mrs. Franklin was united in marriage with William Earl Franklin on October 19th, 1956. To this union were born three sons: Brian, Stuart, and Christopher.

Mrs. Franklin graduated high school from Tulsa Central High School in 1950. She would attend Oklahoma A&M for one year before accepting a position as a secretary in the oil industry. When she wasn't busy traveling the world, you could often find her at social and professional clubs she belonged to or watching her grandchildren's sports activities. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends during the week and her family on Sundays or working out at St. John's Health Club.

She is survived by son Brian Franklin, son Stuart Franklin, son Christoper Franklin and fiance Lynn George. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Kennedy Spears, Eliza Kyles and grandson-in-law Caeleb Kyles, four grandsons, Gabe Franklin and granddaughter-in-law Sarah Franklin, AJ Franklin, Will Franklin, and Jack Franklin, a bonus granddaughter, Adrianna George, and two great granddaughters, Ophelia Kyles and Vivienne Kyles.
