Paul H. Petersen went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the age of 69 in Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marie Petersen of Oklahoma City, OK.

Paul is survived by his wife of 20 years, Betty L. Stilwell; two children, Tyler Jayroe (Elaine) of Westfield, NJ, Andrea Petersen Brown (Brad) of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Luke Jayroe, Maya Jayroe, Tennyson Brown and Marlowe Brown; sister, Nancy Greeson of Athens, GA; and two nephews, Dr. David Greeson and Matthew Greeson.

Paul was born, and grew up, in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City, OK in 1964.

As an attorney, Paul had a 44-year law practice in Tulsa, OK. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the University of Oklahoma in 1968. Paul was student body President at OU in his Junior Year and President of Sigma Chi fraternity while at OU. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law, in 1972; he was Order of the Coif and Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Bar Review.

As the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:7-14, Paul H. Petersen counted all of his accomplishments as nothing compared to the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus his Lord and Savior. Paul's greatest passion was to witness to people about Jesus Christ and for people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 18, at Woodlake Assembly of God in Tulsa.
