Paul David Strokey - Born to parents John and Mildred Strokey in Tulsa, OK. on September 26, 1946. Paul was a blessing to many, however no one received these blessings more than his mother. After his father passed, when he was a teenager, he devoted his time to making sure his Mom and Grandmother were taken care of. He was a faithful lifelong member of University United Methodist Church, sharing several close friendships with other members, throughout the years. He held many chairs, on multiple committees at UUMC during his membership there. It was not unusual to find him at the church, not just on Sunday, but any given day of the week. "Strokey", as he was often called by other disciples of the church, could be heard through the halls while any work or repair was happening in the building. He was most always involved in anything that needed attention, especially when it came to the mechanics within his church home. Paul seemed to either know something about nearly every subject you could think of, and as proven often, he had one of anything you might need to complete a job. Paul enjoyed his retirement, by continuing to work. He was always willing to lend a hand, any way he could, especially if it included riding his tractor.
Survivors include cousin, Martha Rosendahl, her husband Larry and their family, son Chris, wife Angele Rosendahl and their sons Brennan and Devon and daughter, Jessica. husband, David Leger and their daughter Emma and son, Lane. He also leaves behind his sweet dog Roxie. In more recent years, Paul shared a close friendship with the Bray, Colvin and Shannon families, sharing holidays, birthdays and many special occasions together. The faithfulness Paul gave to the Lord and his loved ones, including his church family is something we should all aspire to give. His genuine heart was known by many and loved by all. His absence leaves a hole in our hearts, that only the Lord can fill.
