Paula L. Wilburn, age 83, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on April 12th, 2024.

Paula was born on August 15, 1940 to Paul B. and Margaret L. Savant at Morningside Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After Paula graduated from Rogers High School in 1958, she went on to study business at Oklahoma State University. She was one semester short of graduating with a degree in business. Paula worked both as a secretary and as a bookkeeper for many years. Paula met her husband of 64 years, Gene Wilburn, while attending OSU and they were married March 25, 1960. They went on to have 2 children, Karen Louise Wilburn Gotcher, of Clearwater, Florida and Ronald Jay Wilburn of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has 5 grandchildren, Lauren Renee Wilburn Morris, Stephanie Elaine Wilburn Ledford, John Thomas Wilburn, Amanda Louise McCrossen Hinchey, and Austin Ray McCrossen. Paula has 5 great grandchildren, Hudson Isaiah Morris 8, Adeleine Renee Morris 5, Holland Elaine Ledford 5, Harper Lynn Ledford 2, and Eloise Faye McCrossen 1.

In 2015, Paula retired and spent her time in her flower garden, traveling in their RV, watching OSU sports, birdwatching, and spending time with her family.
Paula was the oldest child of 3 children in her family. Her baby brother, Richard (Dickie) Savant, had special needs and required care his entire life. Paula helped her mother a lot with Dickie when she was growing up. Paula took piano lessons for most of her childhood and was able to read music and play the piano well. She was predeceased by her mother and father, and her youngest brother Richard Savant. She is survived by her husband, Gene Wilburn, her son and daughter in law, Ronald and Jennifer Wilburn, her daughter and son in law, Karen and Cary Gotcher, brother John L. Savant, and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Paula accepted Christ as a child and was a faithful follower her entire life. She was a lifelong member of various Baptist churches in Texas and Oklahoma during her lifetime. Most recently, Paula was a member of South Tulsa Baptist Church.

There will be a visitation with the family at Southlawn Chapel, at the Moore Funeral Home at 9350 E. 51st Tulsa, OK from 5-7pm on Monday April 22, 2024. Funeral service will be held at South Tulsa Baptist Church on Tuesday April 23rd, 2024 at 11:00am. A graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetary located at 51st and Memorial.

Visitation will be 5-7PM, Monday, April 22, 2024 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at South Tulsa Baptist Church, 10310 S. Sheridan, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
