Geneva Pearl Wood was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on May 2, 2013, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Geneva was born on October 27, 1925, in Stroud, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clark D. Sutton and Ethel Mae (Melton) Sutton. Geneva married Elmer Wood in 1947. Five children were born to Elmer and Geneva. She is preceded in death by Elmer who passed away in 2000. Geneva is survived by her daughter, Constance Maurine Kelly of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter, Catherine Elaine Wood of Cincinnati, Ohio; son, Paul Christopher Wood of Stillwater, Oklahoma; son, Robert Joel Wood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and son, Randall James Wood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Geneva is also survived by grandchildren, Janina Nolan, Marta Waldron, Chris Clark, Jr., Missy Finger, and Neilee Wood. Geneva was a passionate Christian, a dedicated student of the Bible, a devoted mother, and sponsored many children?s ministries. She embraced life and new experiences, traveling to Ireland at age 87, and enjoying an independent life until shortly before her death. Geneva exemplified the ?good and faithful servant? and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services celebrating Geneva?s life will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at Southeast Baptist Church, 1402 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
