Pedro Figueroa passed away peacefully at 6:45 a.m. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, leaving behind a life woven with service, faith, and quiet greatness.
Born in Peru in 1933, he rose through discipline and brilliance-earning honors in Petroleum Engineering, completing a MBA at Michigan State University, and building a respected career marked by integrity. He started working for Creole Tia Juana, Zulia, in the late 1950's, then founded his own company CIGECO, worked together with Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), as well as many other international oil companies around the world.
Yet Pedro's true legacy lived in his heart for others. As a member of The Rotary Club of Tulsa, District Governor in Caracas, Venezuela, a servant of his church, The Church of the Resurrection, and member of The Knights of Columbus, he lifted lives with generosity and purpose.
When Pedro lost his wife of more than 53 years of marriage to cancer in 2011, he immigrated to the USA and rebuild his life with the same perseverance as always, in service for those most in need.
He met his final illness with the same grace that guided his days.
Pedro is lovingly survived by his children AnnaGaby, Sonia, Ivan, and Daniel; his sons and daughters-in-law Noel, Mario, and Stacey; his grandchildren Julia, Gaby, Samantha, Alejandro, Sabrina, Andres, Noel Armando, Juan Victor, Pedro Luis, and Maite; and his great-grandchildren Connor, Joseph Pedro, Sofia and Penelope.
He leaves us a legacy of compassion, dignity, and service-a gentle light that will continue to guide all who loved him.
May he rest in peace.
The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Church of Resurrection, 4804 S. Fulton Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
