Peggy Jo Crain, 87, passed from this earth to heaven on June 18, 2020 in Gainesville, Texas. She was born December 31, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Herman Crain and her husband of 3 years, Drew Anderson and 1 sister, Maxine. She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Jackson and husband Kris, recently of Okmulgee and now Branson, MO; and Judy Wellman and husband Jack of Lake Kiowa, Texas. She is also survived by 1 sister, 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She left behind many friends in Oklahoma and Texas.
She and Herman moved to Oklahoma in 1985. Fishing, family dinners and gospel music provided a lifetime of enjoyment and love. She was a great cook and famous for her pies and coconut cake. After Herman's death in 2011, she moved to Lake Kiowa, Texas.
One of her greatest joys was when she and Herman established the Gospel Music Barn in 1996 in Council Hill, Oklahoma. Their life was dedicated to Jesus Christ. Through the years, they ministered to many people through gospel music and the testimony of their lives.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2020 at Council Hill Cemetery in Council Hill, OK.
