Peggy Darlene (Reed) Montgomery was born in Perryton, Texas in her grandmother's house on November 27, 1939. She had one brother, Larry Nelson Reed. Peggy went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2022.

She grew up in Tulsa, OK and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Montgomery in 1959. They lived in Tulsa, OK and then moved to Mannford, OK to raise their two sons, Duane Montgomery and Daryl Montgomery.

Peggy was a stay at home mom and helped her sons become Eagle Scouts. She was active in her church, volunteered at the Mannford High School sewing band uniforms and also substitute teaching. Peggy enjoyed being a part of The Mannford Garden Club and a Square Dancing Group. She loved to sew as well, and made many of her own clothes. Peggy and Jim enjoyed living at the lake and going out on their boat.

During the retirement years she and Jim moved part time to Casa Grande, Arizona. They spent their time there relaxing and developing new relationships.

Peggy was also active in The Walk to Emmaus.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Montgomery. She is survived by her two sons, Duane and wife Mitzi Montgomery and Daryl Montgomery. Two granddaughters, Nikki and husband Mark Materna and their sons Lorenzo and Stallone. And Kate and husband Gannon Brown, and their sons Kruz, Jett and Trip. Sister in law Sue Shoemaker and husband Carl and brother in law Steve Montgomery and wife Rita. Many nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be 10:30AM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
