Peter Alexander Garrett, a resident of Tulsa for the past 18 years, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 22, 2023. He is survived by his cherished sister, Ediana Christine Garrett, his beloved brother Gabriel Stephen Garrett, his father Jimmy Dean Garrett and his mother Edith Aminta Torres.

Peter was born on August 17, 2004 at the original Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Being born of mixed parents, he quickly learned Spanish and English, which became helpful speaking to his family here and his family in Venezuela.

Making friends was easy for Peter, as people were drawn to his sweet nature and endless compassion for others. His contagious smile and twinkling eyes would draw you in and always want to be around him. He had a passion for music and enjoyed dancing.

Exceling in sports, Peter won several awards in swimming and achieved a brown belt in karate. Not satisfied with his athletic endeavors, Peter was in the Jenks FFA and played the violin in the school orchestra. He was a talented art major, often making unique art pieces and giving them away to others.

Peter had a passion not only for people, but for animals too. He once had two parakeets, a green cheek conure, a Quaker parrot, two ferrets and a Chocolate Lab----all at the same time! Later he turned his zeal for nature to plants, cultivating everything from Elephant Ear Plants to cacti to Aloe Vera plants.

To summarize Peter's young life, Peter loved his family, his friends, his many plants and artwork, and was blessed with an undying love for helping others. Out of his many attributes and qualities was his ability to listen and make others feel wanted and cared for. He will forever be loved and missed by the countless number of lives he touched. Rest in peace our sweet Petey.
